In today's message, we look at the passage that marks the end of Jesus's ministry in Galilee before He sets His sights on heading to Jerusalem. In this passage, Jesus teaches His disciples two separate yet related lessons of what it looks like to follow Him as a disciple. These lessons are still of great value and importance for us today as we follow Jesus.

The Glory of Christ in the Valley

In today's message, after the amazing event of the transfiguration where Jesus shined forth some of His divine glory, He comes down from the mountain and is immediately met with a great crowd with a great need. A father is in despair because his only child is constantly being tormented by a demon. The encounter between Jesus and the crowd and His disciples that ensues demonstrates the glory, love, and compassion of Christ. This passage is more than just a demonstration of Jesus's power. It's a powerful display of the glory of Christ in the valley.

Lose Your Life to Save It

In today's passage, Jesus continues His teaching on what it means to be His disciple.
