Your Faith Has Saved You, Go in Peace

In today's message, we look carefully at Jesus's final statement to the sinful woman in Luke 7:36-50. He declares to her, "Your faith has saved you, go in peace." We will discuss what exactly Jesus meant by that and the amazing implications for us today.

Those Who are Forgiven Much Love Much

In today's message, we look at the time when Jesus was over the house of Simon the Pharisee when a sinful woman comes in to anoint Jesus's feet. Jesus then tells the "Parable of the Two Debtors" which is a parable about forgiveness and one's response to being forgiven. The parable comes to life in a dramatic way, and Jesus makes some bold, incredible declarations of forgiveness. The one who is forgiven much, loves much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little. We discuss the narrative as a whole and then look at a few relevant takeaways for us today.

The Crowd’s Divisive Response to Jesus and John

In today's message, we continue to look at the interaction that Jesus has with the crowds concerning John the Baptist. Jesus gives His own evaluation of John and then evaluates the people of His generation. It becomes apparent that there is a division among the people in response to Jesus and John. When we come to know Jesus in this capacity, it leads to genuine worship of His name. We see these characteristics clearly in our passage where Jesus raised the widow's son from the dead.

Rather, the main focus is the centurion's faith which Jesus Himself marveled at. The Tale of Two Houses

Jesus closes with one last illustration in which He contrasts two different houses and two different builders. One house is built on the solid rock, while the other house is built on the sand without any foundation.
